Bayview Wairakei Resort is a purpose built convention hotel. It has seven internal conference rooms, four of which can interconnect to create a larger conferencing area. All conference rooms are situated at ground level with five having direct vehicle access. Below is a brief description of the different conference rooms. Click on the image to enlarge it.

Karapiti Room - The Karapiti Room is located at one end of the four interconnecting conference rooms. One of our two largest rooms, the Karapiti Room has floor to ceiling windows along one wall to give plenty of natural light, with an outlook onto the expansive landscape through the bay doors, a perfect backdrop for any occasion. Vehicle access is made simple with large doors at the end of the conference room, allowing vehicles as well as loading and unloading access to all four interconnecting conference rooms. French doors open out onto the lovely pool deck which is ideal for fresh air breakouts, additional conventions space or evening cocktails. |

Waikato Room - The Waikato Room is very versatile, with the ability to configure the room to any requirement. With no windows to take into account the Waikato Room can be setup many different ways for any occasion. The conference room has it's own bar servery and the advantage of interconnecting with the smaller Graham Room II and the equally sized Karapiti Room to allow maximum versatility. |

Graham Room I - Graham Room I is situated at one end of the four interconnecting conference rooms. Natural light streams through the floor to ceiling windows along one wall, looking out over a Japanese inspired garden. |

Graham Room II - A standard sized room, Graham Room II doesn't have the distraction of natural light and is easily converted into a larger space as it borders are Graham Room I and the Waikato Room. |

Heritage Room - The Heritage Room, located in the original building of the Resort, boasts it's own bar, servery area, and built-in wooden dance floor. Natural light flood through the windows and the doors open out onto a lovely verandah making this room ideal for all types of functions. |

Boardroom - Located off the Geyser House Bar, the Boardroom can be utilised as a meeting room of formal boardroom, and at night is a perfect venue for a small group dinner. It's own external doors lead out onto a covered patio. |

Bayview Room - A smaller meeting room with natural light from floor to ceiling windows on one wall. Equipped with an oval boardroom table and leather chairs, this room is suitable for small board meetings or conference office. |

Conference Lounge - As the main entrance to the Graham Rooms I & II and the Waikato Room this area is mainly utilised as a Morning and Afternoon Tea area for conferences, the Conference Lounge is often required for conventions and tradeshows also. |

Pool Deck - Situated next to a heated swimming pool and serviced by it's own bar The Pool Deck is very versatile. It can be marqueed for additional convention space and is a lovely space for outdoor dining or an evening cocktail function (weather permitting). |

Outdoors - Located on 169 acres Bayview Wairakei Resort offers a large array of outdoor options for conferencing, functions and Teambuilding. There is plenty of space for marquees to enlarge existing conference areas, or as additional space for dining. |

Nightclub - The Nightclub is in the same complex as Fairways Cafe and the 19th Hole Bar. A perfect place to dance the night away with a Disco Ball, large Screen and it's own sound system. |

Registration Office - The Registration Office is available for large conferences to use as a contact point, Registration Office, storage area and sanctuary. Located opposite the Events Office this secure office is ideal. |
Karapiti, Waikato and both Graham Room I & II can interconnect with each other, making two large conference rooms or they can all be opened up to create one very large conference space for 700 delegates theatre style and 550 banquet style.
Bayview Wairakei Resort offers a large grass area both out the front of the resort and out the back – these can either be utilised for Marquees for outside conferencing or dining. They are also a great space for displaying large machinery and trucks.
For something a little different, our manicured grounds make a striking setting for team-building activities, an outdoor lunch or an evening function under grand white marquees.
